# Mixtapes and discovery Spotify on the player is Chloe's account. The earlier parent account must not be selected for exports. Read the actual linked account before any write; the skill does not include an account ID or token. Keep existing playlists unless Chloe asks to replace them. Premium offline downloads happen inside Spotify and cannot be repackaged as local MP3s. Portable taste data lives in `music/taste.json`. The initial mix favors jazzy/soft indie around Laufey, with room for dreamy indie, alt-pop and fandom/electronic tracks. These are starting weights her parent requested, not an immutable definition of her taste. Let Chloe change them. Explicit tracks are allowed per the owner; do not invent additional filtering. `chloe.mjs playlist preview music/candidates.json music/preview.jspf` ranks actual candidate records using the weights, seed similarity, bounded novelty and an artist-diversity penalty. Input records need `title`, `artist`, `lane`, `similarity` (0–1), `novelty` (0–1), and optionally a MusicBrainz recording ID. This is a transparent deterministic ranking helper, not a magical audio-similarity model. Read the resulting order with Chloe before export. Discover candidates through official music catalogs or ListenBrainz/MusicBrainz and verify track/artist matches; do not fabricate availability. Optional export: supply `LISTENBRAINZ_TOKEN` in the laptop environment, reconnect Spotify at `https://listenbrainz.org/settings/music-services/details/` if needed. Run `chloe.mjs playlist accounts` (read-only). Then run `chloe.mjs playlist export PREVIEW.jspf --owner CONFIRMED_SPOTIFY_ID`. It verifies the destination, creates a **private** playlist, and never automatically retries a mutation after an uncertain timeout. Inspect accounts/playlists after a timeout before retrying. Reruns reuse a matching private title. It does not silently overwrite an existing playlist's tracks. No token belongs in the public website, skill, source archive, playlist JSON or Git. Themes can change the companion's launcher/cassette around Spotify; they cannot reskin the proprietary Spotify app itself. After publishing an edited playlist, open it in Spotify on the player and enable Download there when the subscription supports it.
